What is Basislink?

Basislink is an online platform that offers all registered buyers the opportunity to access - in a transparent manner, all the grain sold by Senwes. This information is offered by commodity on a physical and pre-season basis at all registered silos within the Senwes service area.

How does Basislink work?

Buyers must register on MySenwes and apply for a Basislink buyer number in order to gain access to the system. Once the registration process has been completed, customers can read in premiums at the relevant silos where they want to buy grain via the internet at their own time. All users of Basislink can therefore see what other buyers in the market are willing to pay for grain without exposing the other interested buyers. It therefore enables buyers to either increase or decrease their premiums depending on the demand for grain at the relevant silo.

The platform is active between 09:00 and 12:00 from Monday to Friday.

Senwes has well-equipped seed processing plants where, among others, wheat, maize, sunflower, sorghum, teff, oats, rye and barley seed are processed for seed companies.
